3...Nd4 offers the e5 pawn. 4.Nxe5 is playable for White, but after 4...Qg5 the greedy 5.Nxf7?? loses on the spot to 5...Qxg2 6.Rf1 Qxe4+ 7.Be2 Nf3#, and 5.Ng4? and 5.Nf3? drop a piece too. Against the correct 4.Nxd4, Black is somewhat worse.
