Answer 1.d4 with 1...f5 and fianchetto: ...Nf6, ...g6, ...Bg7, ...O-O, ...d6. Black takes the kingside space the Dutch is played for and keeps the ...e5 break in hand. Includes the Hopton Attack (2.Bg5), which is what you actually meet most often.
